In The Heart Of Hamilton CBD
City Centre
In the heart of the Hamilton CBD, you’ll find our City Centre branch. Families from all over Hamilton attend. To accommodate the different hours that parents work, our City Centre has slightly longer hours, 7.15am – 5.45pm.
A high teacher-to-child ratio and strong family values ensure quality care and education. Creating a family atmosphere where relationships are nurtured and respected is a hallmark of Curious Cubs. We pride ourselves on knowing each family well, and we have several siblings who enjoy learning and growing together.
Our child care centres provide a warm, welcoming environment for children and their families. A family and a centre should feel like a natural extension of each other, so children can maintain fluid connections. The centre greatly appreciates your participation.
Our City Centre branch welcomes you, and we’d love to show you around.
Our Rooms
Cubs & Tigers
We can accommodate 80 children at our City Centre branch.
Our Cubs room caters for infants aged up to nearly two years old. This is a calm oasis in our centre with our precious Cubs being cared for by a dedicated primary caregiver.
Tigers is a room for toddlers ages 2 to 3 1/2. It’s a fun, jam-packed room that combines singing and dancing, dramatic play, and other age-appropriate activities toddlers love. Our routines and boundaries help children develop appropriate behavior so they feel safe and secure.
Our Rooms
Lions
Our Lions room is for children 3 1/2 – 5. Older children will have a specific time during the day to undertake focused activities with an emphasis on school readiness.
This programme aims to promote independence and self-help skills, so children are better prepared for school. Getting dressed, getting their lunch box, knowing where their stuff is, and getting ready for school are all essential skills for children. Play-based activities that emphasize literacy and numbers also help them become ready for school.

Our Learning Activities
Play based learning
A carefully designed curriculum focuses on play-based learning, including activities such as construction, art, dramatic play, quiet activities, and wellbeing. Individual learning plans will be created for your child or children based on their interests and needs. Activities are planned based on their age, skill level and knowledge base. Our online learning platform captures and shares their learning with you.
Inside and outside of our centre, we engage in play-based learning. We welcome opportunities to engage with our local community. The city’s activities include a walk to the Hamilton Library, a visit to the Hamilton Centre Place to see Santa at Christmas time and taking advantage of local events and attractions.
